Gerar
[Genesis 10:19] - and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.[Genesis 20:1] - Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar,[Genesis 20:2] - and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, "She is my sister." Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.[Genesis 26:1] - Now there was a famine in the land-besides the earlier famine of Abraham's time-and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar.[Genesis 26:2] - The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live.[Genesis 26:6] - So Isaac stayed in Gerar.[Genesis 26:20] - But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen and said, "The water is ours!" So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him.[Genesis 26:21] - Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah.[Genesis 26:26] - Meanwhile, Abimelech had come to him from Gerar, with Ahuzzath his personal adviser and Phicol the commander of his forces.[2 Chronicles 14:13] - and Asa and his army pursued them as far as Gerar. Such a great number of Cushites fell that they could not recover; they were crushed before the LORD and his forces. The men of Judah carried off a large amount of plunder.[2 Chronicles 14:14] - They destroyed all the villages around Gerar, for the terror of the LORD had fallen upon them. They plundered all these villages, since there was much booty there.
