[Genesis 14:7] - Then they turned back and went to En Mishpat (that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who were living in Hazazon Tamar.[Genesis 16:14] - That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; it is still there, between Kadesh and Bered.[Genesis 20:1] - Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar,[Numbers 13:26] - They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.[Numbers 13:29] - The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan."[Numbers 14:2] - All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, "If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert![Numbers 14:3] - Why is the LORD bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn't it be better for us to go back to Egypt?"[Numbers 14:4] - And they said to each other, "We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt."[Numbers 14:19] - In accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now."[Numbers 14:22] - not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times-[Numbers 14:25] - Since the Amalekites and Canaanites are living in the valleys, turn back tomorrow and set out toward the desert along the route to the Red Sea. "[Numbers 20:1] - In the first month the whole Israelite community arrived at the Desert of Zin, and they stayed at Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried.[Numbers 20:5] - Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place? It has no grain or figs, grapevines or pomegranates. And there is no water to drink!"[Numbers 20:14] - Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom, saying: "This is what your brother Israel says: You know about all the hardships that have come upon us.[Numbers 20:15] - Our forefathers went down into Egypt, and we lived there many years. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers,[Numbers 20:16] - but when we cried out to the LORD, he heard our cry and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. "Now we are here at Kadesh, a town on the edge of your territory.[Numbers 20:17] - Please let us pass through your country. We will not go through any field or vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will travel along the king's highway and not turn to the right or to the left until we have passed through your territory."[Numbers 20:18] - But Edom answered: "You may not pass through here; if you try, we will march out and attack you with the sword."[Numbers 20:20] - Again they answered: "You may not pass through." Then Edom came out against them with a large and powerful army.[Numbers 20:21] - Since Edom refused to let them go through their territory, Israel turned away from them.[Numbers 20:22] - The whole Israelite community set out from Kadesh and came to Mount Hor.[Numbers 27:14] - for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes." (These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)[Numbers 32:8] - This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to look over the land.[Numbers 32:36] - Beth Nimrah and Beth Haran as fortified cities, and built pens for their flocks.[Numbers 32:37] - And the Reubenites rebuilt Heshbon, Elealeh and Kiriathaim,[Numbers 34:4] - cross south of Scorpion Pass, continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea. Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon,[Deuteronomy 1:2] - (It takes eleven days to go from Horeb to Kadesh Barnea by the Mount Seir road.)[Deuteronomy 1:19] - Then, as the LORD our God commanded us, we set out from Horeb and went toward the hill country of the Amorites through all that vast and dreadful desert that you have seen, and so we reached Kadesh Barnea.[Deuteronomy 1:46] - And so you stayed in Kadesh many days-all the time you spent there.[Deuteronomy 2:14] - Thirty-eight years passed from the time we left Kadesh Barnea until we crossed the Zered Valley. By then, that entire generation of fighting men had perished from the camp, as the LORD had sworn to them.[Deuteronomy 9:23] - And when the LORD sent you out from Kadesh Barnea, he said, "Go up and take possession of the land I have given you." But you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God. You did not trust him or obey him.[Joshua 10:41] - Joshua subdued them from Kadesh Barnea to Gaza and from the whole region of Goshen to Gibeon.[Joshua 14:6] - Now the men of Judah approached Joshua at Gilgal, and Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, "You know what the LORD said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh Barnea about you and me.[Joshua 14:7] - I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions,[Joshua 15:3] - crossed south of Scorpion Pass, continued on to Zin and went over to the south of Kadesh Barnea. Then it ran past Hezron up to Addar and curved around to Karka.[Joshua 15:23] - Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,[Judges 11:16] - But when they came up out of Egypt, Israel went through the desert to the Red Sea and on to Kadesh.[Judges 11:17] - Then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, 'Give us permission to go through your country,' but the king of Edom would not listen. They sent also to the king of Moab, and he refused. So Israel stayed at Kadesh.
